I just love these Autumn days...when grey clouds break up...become light and fluffy...dance in blue skies...and Mountain Hood displays its snowy peaks!!! Awesome!!

There's color in the western sky...after a mostly grey day...Sweet!And I finished knitting the last Christmas sock...for the year...put the knitting machine away.

Now on to the final steps...sewing the back seams...

And then...the decorating...

Just when I thought the show was finished...

Assignment~

Turn the camera on yourself in a self portrait. Creatively represent who you are or how you wish to be seen with a camera. Catch our eye as you express yourself having fun dressing up, setting up a scene, creating a character, exploring the theatrical motif if you choose. Use reflections, shadows, all of your body or just one part.

I'm finding myself thinking deeply about this assignment...does any image really reveal me? Isn't much of what others see filtered through their own lense of perception? How do I wish to be seen? And is any image really my self?

Hands...Can my self be felt through everything my hands touch?

Eyes...Are they really the window to my soul? If so, is it what they see...or what you see in them? I did get to a place, as I was remotely snapping these photos, where I felt relaxed and wasn't taking my self too seriously!

After several days of hiding...the mountain graced the morning...majestically!I'm learning...the art...of creating Christmas socks!

I'm surprised at the learning curve...

but I'm finally grasping the process...with Mom's help and encouragement.

Spike & I took off early this morning...heading to Eugene to bring Taylor home for the weekend...

But...we took a little detour...

stopped at Lincoln Elementary School in Corvallis for a visit...

Mrs. P's 1st Grade Class!Aunt Talia is a sweet, unique teacher...

Seems she makes learning LOTS of fun!!!!
Music is a big part of her teaching style! It was great fun to join her class for a few hours!

Later, we picked up Taylor and headed home to dinner with Todd, Chris, TJ & Huck...Sweet!!
