Tender Goodbyes...

We held vigil this week as Mom began her assent into the Heart of God...
Family gathered to surround her with love...
And gratitude and honor...
Donna Jean Pfaender Gilbert...
Slipped quietly into God's Arms this morning.
Oh, Momma....

Rose of Jericho...

Resurrection Plant...
These are remarkable plants that are considered talismans for protection, blessing, and prosperity.  This desert plant (basically a type of tumbleweed) grows in the Negev and Sahara Desert, North Africa, Israel, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Pakistan, Iran and even in some areas  of South and North America. These plants are sold in their dried out "dormant" state and can survive with no water at all for years.  (This on came home with me from Spirit Matters in Inverness Park, CA.)
However, when it is placed into water...
 It comes back to life...
And, in a matter of just a few hours...
It will open into a lush and green rosette.
Fascinating!!!
