When I was a kid...and when my kids were kids...
One of the highlights of the Christmas season was a drive around the city...
Looking at Christmas lights.
Tonight...Mom, Patsy, Matt and I...continued the tradition...With Christmas music playing from the Ipod, we drove through Happy Valley Heights...
And down Peacock Lane in SE Portland...
(Mom & Dad lived there in 1946...when they were pregnant with Judy!)
It was fun to slowly drive the street...with our headlights out...
Checking out the displays...and people.
Then back home...past the tree at Happy Valley City Hall.
Really...a lovely evening!
