Harvest Moon...

This Full Corn Moon corresponds to the time of harvesting corn. It's also called the Barley Moon, because it is the time to harvest and thresh the ripened barley. The Harvest Moon is the full Moon nearest the autumnal equinox, which can occur in September or October and is bright enough to allow finishing all the harvest chores. Autumn arrived in the world on September 22, 2010, at 11:13 PM EST. And for the first time since 1991, the harvest moon was full in the early hours of September 23 (TODAY!!) A full harvest moon so close to the autumn equinox is the "traditional definition" of a harvest moon. And as National Geographic reports, the world is celebrating!!
Mmmmm!
So let's get those chores done?! :)
